Policies & Procedures

All instructions are for the members to complete unless otherwise stated.

 

Purchase a Meter
Complete a Request for Water Line Location form (available at the DPW office and on this website under Applications.)


If meter is approved,

  1. Provide DPW with a copy of the county building permit or mobile home permit
  2. Provide DPW with a copy of the county septic permit
  3. Fill out and sign Application for Water Service form
  4. Fill out and sign Agreement for Water Service form
  5. Pay DPW $2,115.02 for a residential meter (cost varies for larger or commercial meters)
  6. Post address on property where is it clearly visible and remains so until meter is set
  7. Stake property line and easement with visible markers


 

Transfer an Existing Account (Owner)
The following must be done at least one business day in advance

  1. Fill out and sign Application for Water Service
  2. Fill out and sign Agreement for Water Service
  3. Pay DPW $115.02
  4. DPW will schedule transfer on specified date and check for required member's' valves
  5. If member's valves are not in place, new owner will be given a reasonable amount of time to install them


 

Transfer an Existing Account (Renter)
The following must be done at least one business day in advance

  1. Fill out and sign Application for Water Service
  2. Fill out and sign Agreement for Water Service
  3. Pay DPW $109.68
  4. DPW will schedule transfer on specified date


 

Line Extension

  1. Complete a Request for Water Line Location
  2. Applicant will be notified with rough estimate of distance and cost
  3. Pay DPW $40.00 for a detailed cost estimate (will be credited to cost of project)
  4. Enter into a Line Extension Agreement with DPW
  5. Review DPW "Special Provisions"
  6. Pay the total due DPW as shown on the Cost Estimate
  7. Provide all easement documentation w/ easements granted to DPW
  8. DPW will apply for all state agency approvals (ADEQ & ACC)
  9. DPW will notify applicant when approvals have been received
  10. Applicant will select contractor and schedule pre-construction meeting
  11. Give DPW performance bond or cashier's check for the total estimated cost of project
  12. Give DPW construction schedule for scheduling all on-site inspections
  13. Begin installation of the new water line
  14. When complete, call for final DPW inspection
  15. Engineering firm will certify the line
  16. DPW will apply for and receive Approval to Operate the Line from ADEQ
  17. The accounting for the project will be done to determine if a refund is due applicant
  18. Applicant will pay DPW any outstanding balance, or DPW will issue refund to Applicant
  19. DPW will accept line when all of the above is complete
  20. Meter may be purchased when all of the above is complete

(PLEASE NOTE: NO METER WILL BE ISSUED UNTIL THE ACCOUNTING IS COMPLETE AND DPW HAS ACCEPTED THE LINE)
